You are invited to participate in ArtWalk 2024, a juried fine art show sponsored by Arts for Rural Texas. The show is held each Spring on the lawn of the courthouse square in the historic community of Fayetteville, Texas. This charming small town is in the gentle rolling hills of south-central Texas, halfway between the metropolitan areas of Houston and Austin.
$5,000 in cash awards planned for ArtWalk 2024 participants. Our judges will select winners in in 2D art and 3D art, and will award 12 prizes ranging from $150 to $1,000.
Applications for ArtWalk 2024 will be accepted in the following mediums:
Painting and Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, Ceramics, Glass, Jewelry, Sculpture, Wearable and Non-Wearable Fiber, and Wood,.
Applicants must submit 3 images of current work and 1 image of your booth display for jury.
*Deadline for Entry is midnight, January 26, 2024.
The deadline is final with no late applications to be accepted.
Receipt of all files must be no later than January 29, 2024.
Exhibitor Requirements
Applicants must create 100% of all work displayed.
All artworks must be the artist’s artwork and original in design and concept. Work reproduced or copied from other artists’ artwork will be disqualified.
Each exhibitor is responsible for the sale of his/her work and must be present during the entire show. No agent or representative may manage the booth in place of the artist.
Prices must be clearly displayed on all items.
Arts for Rural Texas does not take a commission on any sales.
Exhibitors are responsible for collecting and reporting the appropriate sales tax. Information is available through the Texas State Comptroller.
Exhibitors will be permitted to exhibit only the specific type of work accepted by the jury. If entering in multiple categories, submit separate applications and images for each category. Jewelry, for example, cannot be exhibited with another medium without being accepted by the jury.
Artists sharing a booth must apply and be juried into the show separately. Artists sharing booths will pay an additional fee of $50 per artist.
Any work created by a person other than the exhibitor, or any mass-produced items are unacceptable for exhibit. Arts for Rural Texas has the right to reject any work for exhibit that does not fall within the spirit of the requirements.
Reproductions to be presented only in portfolios or bins, not hung on the walls (and not be more than 20% of exhibit).
All personal tents/booths must be secured and weighed down with a minimum of 50lb on each corner. Ground stakes may not be used per city ordinance.
Final interpretation of these requirements will be at the discretion of Arts for Rural Texas.
